Brilliant for wireless audio

Qualcomm's new sound chip is brilliant.

This must also be done by Apple

As you know, the company announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and X Elite last night, but there is also something else that is very exciting: the S7 and S7 Pro Gen 1 chipsets, and especially the Pro edition. Why? Because the Pro version uses WiFi for wireless sound, the range is much better than Bluetooth and you can travel wherever you want in the house and around the property without sound interruption, as long as the WiFi coverage is good.

This is possible with Qualcomm's "Expanded Personal Area Network" (XPAN), which automatically switches to WiFi when the Bluetooth signal becomes too poor. There is support for up to 96kHz lossless audio and it works with 2.4, 5 and 6GHz bands. The only thing the user needs to do is to approve the connection when the Bluetooth signal becomes too weak.

AI is also in place for better response in relation to the surroundings and the ANC is supposed to be the best, regardless of how the earplugs sit in the ears. The technology is only found in Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon X Elite. The first mobiles with 8 Gen 3 will be launched this year. Snapdragon X Elite laptops will launch in the summer of 2024.
