On October 16, Intel launched the i9-14900KF, their newest and fastest CPU for gamers. The price is just over NOK 8,000.

33 percent overclock = over 1300 FPS in Counter-Strike 2

It wasn't long before overclockers were able to push it up to over 9 GHz (9043 92 MHz, to be exact), and later from 7.5 GHz to 8 GHz with liquid nitrogen with a Gigabyte “Z790 Aorus Tachyon X” motherboard. It's not the record, but another record was probably set with the same setup: 1310 FPS in the recently launched Counter-Strike 2. And the game, it ran with no blue screen or visual issues.

 

The best thing is that the record does not require the use of AMD Anti-Lag+ (which banned the players ). In any case, it is not of much help with over 1000 FPS as the fastest monitor, Asus's "ROG Swift Pro PG248QP", stops at 540 Hz.

 

The same team managed to set a world record with Gigabyte's DDR5-8333 16GB RAM clocked from 8333 to 11618. Was it stable? No, unfortunately not. A blue screen was reported a short time later, but the record was still registered, crash or not.
