Apple has released iOS 17.2.1 for iPhone and iPadOS 17.2.1 for iPad, shortly after the 17.2 launch on December 11.

iPhone and iPad updated with “important bug fixes”

No one, apart from Apple, knows what the update fixes, but since they are keeping their cards so close to their chest, it is not impossible that they are security updates. But then again, Apple usually reveals which security updates fix what - maybe there are extra spicy security updates?

 

The only thing Apple writes is that "this update delivers important bug fixes and is recommended for all users." No OS other than iPadOS has been updated.
