Google is denying the Android people this

Why have the URL field at the bottom of mobile browsers?

iPhone gets, not Android (yet)

It doesn't make sense, especially not on large mobiles like Apple's Pro Max series.

The company has long since moved Safari's address bar down, with the option to move it up if you don't want the change (not that we can understand why.)

Anyway, now Google has chosen to listen to the iOS people and provides the option to move the URL field to the bottom like on Safari - it may make it easier to convince Safari users to switch pastures. The change was discovered already in August and has now been rolled out in version 119.0.6045.109.

Oddly enough, the Android people don't get the same opportunity. Above Engadget, the company states that they don't "have a timeline" for it. Why? We don't know.
