Much better GPU performance
Gen 3 is just around the corner and the Galaxy S24 series will be one of the first mobiles to take advantage of the power early next year.
First, it was revealed that the new GPU i is 40 percent faster, but a fresh i Vulkan reveals up to 80 percent better performance in a selected GeekBench 6 test. The Galaxy S24 Plus managed 17,031 points – and the Galaxy S23 Ultra managed around 9,300 points in the same test.
The Galaxy S24 looks more like an iPhone, complete with rounded corners.
The Galaxy S24 Plus is pushed to 2.26GHz against the S23 Ultra's 2.02GHz. There are still eight cores, but the S23 Ultra has 10.8GB of RAM, and the Galaxy S24 Plus 6.74GB is available for the tests. The iPhone 15 Pro series' A17 Pro chip also has a GPU focus this year combined with the ability to easily connect them to external displays with USB C.
