“Steam Deck 2” may have been revealed

A new physical product from Valve has been spotted, but what is it?

VR headset or “Steam Deck 2”?

The company's handheld game console Steam Deck is well-liked by players and started the popularization of the segment, Half-Life 3 or not.

So popular has the device proven to be that the very biggest in PC hardware has jumped on the bandwagon, including Asus ROG and Razer.

Valve previously wanted several things, including a headset without a wire, a new Steam controller, and an improved Steam Deck with better battery life and display.

And now something is coming, we just don't know what: the product name " RC-V1V-1030 " namely revealed in a product base in South Korea - apart from the fact that it is a "low-energy product", we don't know which of the three things it is, if any of them. The only thing we know is that 5GHz WiFi is being used, but that doesn't help us at all, but perhaps makes it less likely that it's a new gamepad. Luckily.

It's also possible that a modified Steam Deck motherboard is intended for a wireless VR product. Valve has been testing such a product internally since at least 2021. As The Verge points out, whatever it is should be announced before Nintendo runs away with all the limelight with the Switch 2.
