We hope you have cleared your space

On October 20, Sony and Insomniac launch Spider-Man 2, exclusively for Playstation 5.

There is good reason to be "hypa"

This is the sequel to Spider-Man from 2018 and at the same time follows up Spider-Man: Miles Morales launched in 2020.

Both games are terrific – we awarded them respectively 9 out of 10 and 9.1 out of 10 for Miles Morales PC. Although Miles Morales was also launched for PlayStation 4, Spider-Man 2 is only for PlayStation 5, and it would be smart to clear space.

The reason is that the game will take up 98GB on the console's internal disk, which already only has room for 667.2GB of games (how many games have you managed to cram in with less than 700GB to root with?) - it can therefore be worthwhile to buy an extra NVMe disk to be sure. 2TB only costs a couple of thousand now.

We don't know much about the game yet, but we're guessing Sony will rev up the marketing machine next month.

What we do know is that the game will come with graphics and performance modes for 30 and 60-FPS image updates. It is also conceivable that ray tracing in performance mode will be found even if an early leak says it won't happen, at least not at launch. A future update may correct that. The other two games got this afterward.
