YouTube TV started in 2017 as a cable-cutter alternative at a low price.

YouTube TV is approaching NOK 800 a month

The service started in the US at $35 six years ago.

Then in 2020, they increased the price by $15. Now another price jump from 65 dollars to 73 dollars is announced every single month.

 

In other words, over the course of six years, the price has increased from NOK 160, converted from dollars at today's exchange rate, to a staggering NOK 784.

 

For the price, customers get 117 channels with six accounts per household, unlimited DVR recording, and on-demand content.

 

“Increased costs”
There's no way to serve such a cold shower to customers in a way that doesn't make people angry or pissed off, but YouTube is trying:

 

“As content costs have increased and we continue to invest in the quality of our service, we will adjust our monthly cost.”

 

They have also cut the price of something, more about that below.
