Sony is back with the Walkman.

Good enough for the Walkman brand?

We are talking about two models with Android: NW-A300 and NW-ZX700, funnily enough, a short time (spring 2022) after Apple dropped the iPod.

 

First up is the A-300 (we refuse to deal with Sony's long and stupid product name).

 

Both will launch next month, but for now only in Japan.

 

The player is as small as a deck of cards and has the following specifications (it is not known what chip it runs, but probably a very slow one with 4GB of RAM):

When 3.5 mm is not enough
It is also the far more expensive (NOK 8,000) NW-ZX700.

 

This one is relatively special as it has both 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm (the largest input of the type measures 6.35 mm and is intended for instruments, but that will be a digression) for mainly headphones with the plug.
