Microsoft has cleared up the Media Player failure

You can download the update now.

You may remember the big rash that has occurred when the October 10 update to Windows 10 broke Windows Media Player, and Microsoft has later promised an update to fix it around mid-December.

Now they have kept their word and fixed the problem in the cumulative updates for the month. The update also reports more problems that users have experienced lately.

To get the new updates, go to settings through the Start menu and navigate from there for updates and security. Furthermore, press Windows Update and search for new updates.

The update addresses the error that caused the "Seek Bar" function in the video player to take the evening during playback of selected file types.
