Windows 10 version 1809 breaks the Windows Media Player

General | Dec 2, 2018 | Master3395

The Windows 10 Nightmare continues.

As if the October 10 update to Windows 10 has not given users enough trouble so far, there is now another error that hits them, this time it will be linked to their video player, Windows Media Player.

«Seek Bar» does not work
A Microsoft Support Document states that after the update, it may appear that the "Seek Bar" function can not be used when playing individual files.

They write that they are on the issue and will provide an update as soon as the error is corrected, but it is unclear what update it is referring to - whether it is a regular, monthly "quality" update or next half-year "feature" update.

Other
Microsoft also writes that some people may not be able to set Win32 application standards for certain app and file type combinations. They expect that a solution to this will be available late in November.
