According to figures from a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, teens spend a lot less time on Facebook than three years ago.
Facebook falls - YouTube most popular
In 2015, the company conducted a similar survey among US users, and at that time the statistics were as follows: 71 percent of people aged 13-17 said they used Facebook, about half of them used Instagram and 41 percent of them Snapchat.
Now, only 51 percent of American people between the ages of 13 and 17 are using Facebook. At the same time, Instagram (72 percent) and Snapchat (69 percent) have increased significantly, while 85 percent of respondents say they spend time on YouTube.
Asking which service they use most, YouTube and Snapchat are the best. Instagram is the third most popular service - 15 percent say they spend the most time on Instagram.
"The use of social media among teenagers is quite different, just three years ago. Then it was mostly about Facebook. Today, it's less than a single platform, "says Monica Andersen, chairman of the survey, in connection with the presentation of the figures.
