Google has released beta 2 of Android 15 and there are some interesting revelations.
Comes with apps that support satellite messages
Google reports in the press release that Android 15 will come with RCS communication apps that can use Android 15's satellites to send and receive messages. Google also hopes that app developers can improve app performance with new APIs that help developers make apps launch faster, boost performance where it's weak, and point out improvements. Also, the built-in PDF reader has been updated with support for password-protected files – signing has been added, as has filling out documents and searching.
Another improvement is that NFC can detect NFC readers before possibly using it to pay. This is supposed to make the payment process quicker. A big update is flip mobiles get a dedicated section where the apps can live. Before, mobile manufacturers had to collaborate directly with app developers to achieve this.
The Android 15 beta anyone can test with ease starts next month.
