A source with knowledge of Apple's plans reveals to the Apple blog MacRumors that the company has plans to implement a major brand change.
Can become an "Apple Account" before the end of the year
Certainly, Apple's plan is to change the name of "Apple ID" to "Apple Account," and the change will take place at the end of the year, probably at the same time as iOS 18 ("Crystal") macOS 15 (" Glow ") is launched. MacRumors points out that Apple already refers to "Apple Account" on certain pages, but that the ID will be completely removed.
Speaking of the two OSes, it is expected that iOS 18 will be equipped with a new interface that incorporates parts of the visionOS design language. macOS will also be majorly updated and will be more similar to iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, but the macOS version with major changes will probably not be launched until next year or in 2026.
iWork with AI will probably arrive this year
The rebranding is interesting for several reasons: it is possible that the company plans to update the brand not only with a new name and logo but perhaps with a new design and new features. If the latter happens, we should not ignore the fact that AI functions will also be available as web services.
It has already been rumored that the company is working on a major update of the iWork office suite, and then it would be highly logical that you would find AI assistance tools in these that Microsoft already offers in Office 365.
