Customers report that they have been kicked out of their accounts without explanation, and therefore also do not have access to the games they may have purchased digitally on the platform.
The message that appears on the screen for affected customers is consistent with what you get if you have actually done something illegal, which these users should not have done, because users of a number of social networks report the same message. If they had done something contrary to the terms and conditions, they would hardly all have gone public about it.
"This account has been permanently suspended from PlayStation Network due to violation of PlayStation Network's terms of use and user agreement," users are told.
The Verge reports that Sony has not confirmed the problem either on social media or on the page that lists the latest and most important from the entertainment giant. Nor Sony's two Playstation accounts @playstation or @askplaystation on X has something to say about the serious error.
