SanDisk has revealed the fastest 1.5TB microSD UHS-I card ever.
Lots of storage space
Such storage cards are far from NVMe speeds, but with transfer speeds up to 150 MB/s when used with the “SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 microSD” card reader, the speed is optimized. Is there a record for such cards? No, manufacturers have managed up to 200 MB/s, but with cards smaller than 1.5 TB, which is a good amount of storage space. The price is 149.99 dollars, which is about 1660 kroner. We will let you know if we find a Norwegian price.
“Instantly expand storage for host devices that support UHS-I microSD cards, such as Android smartphones and tablets, Chromebooks and Windows laptops,” WD reports of the new SanDisk product.
This card is much faster
SanDisk has also introduced a memory card, "SanDisk PRO-CINEMA CFexpress Type B card", which as you can quickly see from the name is not for consumers. This is a much faster card in the Type B standard, but "only" with 320 GB of storage space: SanDisk delivers up to 1400 MB/s read speeds. The speed is needed to record 8K video in film quality.
Price: 399.99 dollars, 4430 kroner.
Outdoor card
Almost last is "The Outdoors" series of SD and microSD cards from USD 16.99 for a 64GB 4K SD card and USD 11.99 for a 32GB 4K microSD respectively.
“Built to last: Withstanding extreme temperatures from -25°C to 85°C and submersion in 1 meter of fresh or salt water for up to 72 hours, SanDisk Outdoors 4K SD UHS-I cards also withstand a relative humidity of 95 percent below use."
