This should be the important iPhone update

MacRumors understands that the new iOS update to fix the heat issues is coming soon.

Three updates in a short time

This is because Apple has marked this update with version number 17.0.3. The company released iOS 17.0.2 a week ago:

“You probably remember the version number because it was the iPhone 15 models that got this first, while the other models were on  17.0.1. The latter corrects security holes, while 17.0.2 corrects a bug that could make it complicated to transfer your backup to the new iPhone 15 and 15 Pro.”

But 17.0.3 is far more important when it comes to the user experience, especially for the iPhone 15 Pro series which can experience overheating. The company is not going to clock down the A17 Pro chip According to the Apple blog, the company is testing 17.0.3 internally and the update will be released very soon. We're talking about a launch later this week or early next week. 17.1 will be launched late in October, including auto-saving Apple Music songs you "heart."

Apple promised to fix the heat problems already four days ago:

"According to the company, it is not just a problem with iOS 17 that "affects some users and will be fixed in a software update." But according to Apple, there is also another problem that affects “recent updates to third-party apps that cause them to overload the system. We are working with the app developers on fixes that are in the process of being rolled out.”

The reason must therefore be a combination of how third-party apps behave in iOS 17, another part must be the OS itself. Apple has already stated this is not a problem due to the new titanium frames in the Pro models. It is unknown how many people are affected, but those who use certain third-party apps should be particularly vulnerable.
