It is now known that Google has canceled its new Pixelbook.

It's been three years since Google launched a new laptop with the Pixelbook Go, and now it's over

Not only that, but The Verge believes that Google has given up on laptops for good: they have disbanded the team that worked on the new machine.

 

The Pixelbook was launched in October 2017. Two years later, the Pixelbook Go arrived.

 

Google sees itself as having to save money, so that must be the reason. Even worse for fans of Google hardware is that the machine had come a long way in the development and was scheduled to launch next year. It was only months ago that they still wanted to continue in the segment.

 

There are Chromebooks on the market from Asus and Acer
Google also said a few weeks ago that they would continue to develop Pixelbooks, but since the market with Chromebooks is now more or less going by itself, and tougher economic times where the sale of laptops is declining, Google, therefore, chose not to continue. At least not now.

 

Then we can only hope they don't give up on the Pixel Watch and Pixel Tablet, two new product categories for Google. The watch will arrive in a few weeks, and the tablet next year.
