The component shortage goes so deep that Model Y and 3 are now delivered without USB C ports.

Missing charging ports and wireless charging

It is mainly a question of missing entrances for the passengers in the back if they want to plug into the center console.

 

For those who are short of USB C ports in the back, it is also the case that the wireless charging space in the front is inactive. Cars without USB C at these locations were delivered on 11 November.

 

Many were not notified
The worst thing is that many of the affected customers were not informed in advance. They should later have been told that they can deliver the cars for service, hopefully in December, to retrofit USB C and activate the charging pad.
