Clubhouse is a social app based on sound. It was launched worldwide for iOS users in April 2020 with a system that required an invitation code to join, giving users a sense of exclusivity.
In May 2020, the Clubhouse was valued at $ 100 million. In less than a year, the valuation had risen to four billion dollars.

According to data from Sensor Tower, Clubhouse had 9.6 million downloads in February this year, but in April they had fallen by 90 percent to 922,000 and 719,000 in May.
It can safely be described as rapid cooling. In comparison, TikTok had more than 56 million installations in February and 80 million in May.

Since they opened for Android and removed the invitations, there was a wave of growth and they received 7.7 million new downloads in June.
These came almost exclusively in Asia and 75 percent of them in India.
In July, Clubhouse announced that they would leave the invitation system and introduce a private messaging feature, which broke with the "anonymity" that had previously been a major focus.
They made it possible to download the app and even register as a user. In August, "Spatial Audio" was launched and it gave the audience a feeling of being in the same room as the person they were talking to.

Despite all its efforts, the Clubhouse seems to have lost its popularity.
In Taiwan, the app is down to 67th place in the software rankings for August and was thus below almost all other social media platforms, dating apps included.
