Windows 11 may be a free upgrade from Windows 7

Windows 11 is the next generation of Windows and is scheduled to be a free upgrade from Windows 10.

Windows 11 may be a free upgrade from Windows 7

Windows as a service
In addition to Windows 10 users, it may seem that those who have Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 will also be able to upgrade for free by using tools such as Media Creation Tool or Update Assistant.

This is in line with Microsoft's stated plan to deliver Windows more as a service without monolithic updates. The company has followed this plan in recent years with two major updates a year, April or May and October or November, respectively.

When Microsoft now takes the step over from Windows 10 to Windows 11, there is thus a high probability that this will be a free update for all versions back to Windows 7.

Valid license
Findings made in configuration files show that those who have a valid license on their Windows installation can update at no additional cost. The findings indicate that there is an upgrade path also For Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.

It is not many days since Windows 11 was leaked, and it may be that this is only set up like this during a trial period. The reasons for this can be many, and until the official launch, this can easily change.
