This is smart for "stupid" speakers
The problem is that Apple has given up AirPort routers, which means that you have to find an alternative, and now it turns out that Belkin soon wants to sell you an AirPlay 2 adapter for around 1000 kroner.
"Belkin SoundForm Connect AirPlay 2 adapter" is the name of the gadget that is powered by a USB C cable and supports audio from 3.5 and optical. Once you connect the speaker to an Apple device, it is detected as AirPlay 2 compatible. That's all it takes.
This is a patent disclosure, so there is no launch date, but we predict that the launch will take place in a couple of months.
