Facebook has traded the gif service to integrate it into Instagram and other Facebook products.

Facebook has for many years used the services APIs to provide users with gif functionality in a variety of apps.

Giphy has hundreds of millions of users daily with 50 percent of traffic from Facebook's apps.

You will still be able to upload gifs and developers will have the same API access as before. It reveals Instagram product manager Vishal Shah.
