Free applications and games we rarely say no thanks to.

MacRumors reports news from Australia where App Store users are reporting that they have woken up to App Store messages of some kind of surprise.

Remember 12 Days of Christmas?
The surprise is probably games and applications that Apple is giving away for free between December 24 and 29. With these dates and days in between, you will receive a surprise daily.

Some may remember Apple's tradition a few years ago in handing out 12 free applications and games as they held a similar "12 Days of Christmas" campaign - this time there is apparently talk of fewer gifts, but the concept is probably the same.

Unfortunately, the first surprise of the day has not yet been made public, but it is only to be smeared with patience.
