Reminders to upgrade from Windows 7.
When Windows 7 officially loses support on January 14, 2020, and no longer receives security updates, you are left in many ways to yourself, and a bunch of sure annoying reminders that you should update.
Extra susceptible to viruses
At the so-called EoS time (end of support), the operating system will display full-screen warnings that indicate that your Windows software is particularly vulnerable and vulnerable to viruses, with a friendly reminder that you should upgrade to Windows 10.
By default, security updates will no longer roll out unless you call for an extension of them in the form of Extended Security Updates.
Alerts you from January 15th
The way Microsoft extends reminders that are now extended to cover the entire screen is by installing a program called EOSnotify.exe. A new version of this was released with today's Windows 7 update, KB4530734.
The message looks like the image above and applies from January 15, 2020, on all Windows 7 machines whether it is Service Pack 1 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium or Professional.
