Google has automated one of its most used features

The function is rolled out everywhere.

In May, Google announced that they are introducing an opportunity for their users of the services to automatically delete the internet history, and now the update rolls out with this change.

The choice between 3 and 18 months
This means that anyone using a Google Account can choose to have their history deleted either after three or 18 months, depending on what one prefers. Positions, web history and application history will be deleted in the process.

The feature gives you greater control over your data and is activated by accessing the activity control settings whether on the mobile app or in the browser. There you navigate to managing activity under "Web & App activity" and/or "site history" to set the time it takes for your history to be automatically deleted.

Only manual handling - until now
So far it has been possible to do the same things in practice, but then manually and with far less overview.

There is, moreover, an opportunity to disable all collection of data as mentioned above on a permanent basis, but the major drawback of this is that the search engine's functionality is limited so that you, among other things, cannot get user suggestions based on personal preferences.
