Last year, Intel invested $ 1.5 billion in an effort to increase the production of 14nm processors.

 

In fact, extreme demand for processors in the server market and at the client level led Intel to fail.

 

The problems persist in the third quarter
But the problems of supplying enough processors have not yet been resolved, despite the massive investment. It confirmed Intel to investors just before the weekend.

The availability of Intel processors has been bad ever since the fall of 2018. It has created headaches for the company, which now promises never to put itself in such a position again.

Microsoft: - No longer a problem
Earlier this year, Microsoft went out against Intel and claimed that the CPU defect affected Windows sales. However, this week, Microsoft said that Intel's problems are no longer a problem for them.

 

That's understandable. Intel has prioritized the production of Xeon and Core i7 / i9 processors, which are often used by Enterprise customers. In addition, several have used the situation to switch to AMD processors.

 

It remains to be seen whether Intel is able to solve the challenges.
