And the new iPod Touch is actually underway.

If the rumors are true, the iPod Touch series will get a newcomer if not too long: Apple says, according to several sources, what is being the seventh generation of the iPod Touch that over the years has been loved by many.

New features are not mentioned
It is mainly the Japanese site Mac Otakara that cracks the news based on the fact that several vendors during this year's CES event have reported that a seventh-generation unit can take over the sixth-generation iPod Touch, which got its introduction in the summer of 2015 with the A8 chip, the camera of 8MP and six colors to choose from, among others.

In July 2017, Apple also chose to adjust some of these by changing the storage options to one with 32GB and one with 128GB and new prices. Today the iPod Touch costs 6th generation with 32GB of storage 2190, while the option with 128GB costs 3290 NOK.

Neither new features nor approximate launch dates are mentioned by the sources, but it can be speculated whether or not the company looks its way to upgrade it with a better camera and a faster and more modern processor.
Apple has been quite reluctant with its plans for the iPod series over the past couple of years: in 2017, they ended up selling both the iPod Shuffle and the iPod Nano so it's not without reason many people think that the iPod Touch is singing on the latest verse. Nor is it unthinkable that Apple has abandoned its plans because consumers have tended to shift to the iPad and iPhone to a greater extent.

USB-C for iPhone
In the case of the iPhone, there are also rumors on this front: in the same report that speculates in the new iPod Touch as mentioned above, there is the talk of the next iPhone launching in 2019 potentially coming with a USB-C port.

MacRumors cites the report that Apple is not yet in the stage where they must actually have made a decision to scrap Lightning, but this seems to be the case. The rumor is also supported by several sources that in recent months have been consistent with this, so we consider it a great probability that USB-C will be found on new iPhone models.
