So much does the earplugs cost?

Apple has just launched the rumored AirPods Pro wireless earbuds.

They are available in the online store for NOK 2 990 and will come on October 30 (on the store shelves later this week). As expected, the earbuds have active noise reduction.

Contrary to rumors, which said the plugs are available in multiple colors, they (at least for now) come only in white.

Noise Reduction and "Sound Enhancement"
«AirPods Pro features a new Active Noise Reduction design for a larger and more detailed sound, Sound Enhancement that lets you hear more from the surroundings and an adjustable fit that is comfortable all day. Just like AirPods, AirPods Pro automatically connects to the iPhone or Apple Watch. And they're ready to use when you take them out of the case, "Apple writes on its Web site.

With the "Audio Enhancement" feature, AirPods Pro lets you capture sound from your surroundings, which can be great if it's important to hear what's going on around you. The company says this works with microphones that are both inward and outward.

"That way, the AirPods Pro manages to reverse the insulating effect of the silicone plugs. Sounds from the outside world sound natural, which makes it easier to talk to people around you, for example. "

Helps you choose the right pillow
AirPods Pro comes with "tapered" plugs in three sizes. According to Apple, they should be shaped after your ear and "create a perfect seal for superb noise reduction".

«After the AirPods Pro is placed in the ears, advanced algorithms work with the microphones in each AirPod to measure the sound level in the ear and compare it to the sound level coming from the driver. Within a few seconds, the algorithm detects whether the plugs are the right size and fit, or whether they need to be adjusted. ”

New design on the charging case
The new charging case is smaller than the case that comes with the traditional AirPods:

battery life
Apple provides 4.5 hours of listening time on one charge, or up to five hours of Active Noise Reduction and Audio Enhancement turned off.

5 minutes in the case equals around 1 hour with listening time or up to 1 hour with talk time. The case offers 24 hours of listening time.

"Incredibly low audio delay"
The earbuds are powered by the H1 chip and Apple promises "incredibly low audio delay". They also have a pressure sensor that allows you to answer calls and control music. The sensor also allows you to switch between "Active noise reduction" and "Sound enhancement".

As rumors suggest, you can adjust the noise reduction in the iOS Control Center.

Not surprisingly, you can also get Siri to read your messages. And you can share your audio with other AirPods users.

"Adaptive EQ"
The plugs also come with something called "Adaptive EQ".

"AirPods Pro delivers superior sound quality with Adaptive EQ, which automatically adjusts the low and mid frequencies of music to your ears, resulting in a rich, immersive listening experience."

AirPods Pro supports wireless charging, but you also get a Lightning-to-USB-C cable in the box.
