If YouTube crashes on the iPhone, this is the solution

Have you noticed that YouTube crashes with iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.1 beta?

We have tested the fix on iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 16.0.1 and iPadOS 16.1 and found that the solution works.

 

Many people experience this
YouTube is aware of the issue and is working to fix it.

 

Until that happens, the only solution is to delete the app, install it again, and delete something like "Google Usage ID" - because you get access to the app after it has been installed again.

 

The app also crashes on iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 16.0.1.

 

This may be the possible solution while YouTube investigates
When it disappears from RAM and has to be restarted, that's when you experience that it refuses to start, or opens and tells you that a serious error has occurred.

 

However, that recovery does not always work. It's clearly tiring to delete the app to gain access before it disappears into the black hole of RAM, but let me know in the comments if deleting the user ID works.
