Check Point reveals a 42 percent increase in cyber attacks.

"A new report from Check Point shows, among other things, that the war has entrenched cyber-attacks as a state weapon and as an essential part of military conflict, and how this affects governments and companies all over the world," explains the press release from the security company.

Unfortunately, this will only get worse, especially with ransomware now the biggest threat globally to organizations, says Maya Horowitz, VP of Research at Check Point Software.

The increase in malware sent by email has grown dramatically since 2018:

Check Point reveals that the "ransomware" groups are now organized more professionally and "operate much like normal businesses." "Going forward, we believe there will be many small and medium-sized groups instead of a few large ones like the Conti group, whose size and power received too much attention, leading to their demise," the report says.
