The plan was an "iPhone nano" and "holy war" against Google

A note has been discovered in the pile of Apple emails.

Apple wanted a cheaper alternative to the iPhone 4
This email is from October 2010 and was written by none other than Steve Jobs himself.

In the note, which has a list of things the company should bring up in a meeting, probably with other top executives, the plan was to discuss a "cheap iPhone model based on the iPod Touch that replaces the 3GS.

It's amazing, but true: the iPhone 4 had a screen of only 3.5 ″, so an iPhone nano / mini at that time had a screen of 3 to 3.2 ″.

"Holy war"
As The Verge points out, the iPods were still a very big deal just over ten years ago, so that the iPod Touch is mentioned is not surprising. The sixth-generation iPod Nano was also launched at this time.

It was the iPhone series that was relevant during the meeting to plan 2011 and note the references to "Holy War with Google".

Apple, like everyone else, was aware that Android was better at several things well before iOS:
