Compact and energy-efficient power package from Nvidia

The Nvidia RTX A2000 is so small that you almost pull on the smiley face, but if you take a look under the hood you will soon realize that the slim card is in the thickest family of the GeForce RTX 3060.

Compact form factor
Although it may look like a toy for children, this graphics card is only slightly behind the RTX 3060 in the specifications:

  • CUDA cores: 3228

  • Tensor cores: 104

  • RT cores: 26

  • Memory: 6 GB GDDR6

  • Memory interface: 192 bits

  • Memory bandwidth: 288 GB / s

  • Interface: PCIe 4.0 × 16

  • TBP (Total Board Power): 70 W

It is almost on par with the RTX 3060 in a number of cores, but there is reason to believe that the A2000 runs at lower clock speeds to handle TBP of an impressive 70 W.

You need a reference to see how small the card is. You get it in this video.

The biggest difference is VRAM
The biggest difference between the A2000 and RTX 3060 is besides the form factor, VRAM. The A2000 comes with 6 GB GDDR6 with ECC (error correction code) since it is a Quadro card for workstations, while the RTX 3060 comes with 12 GB GDDR6 without ECC.

Powerful
In addition to the compact footprint, the RTX A2000 is also remarkably energy efficient with a consumption of only 70 watts. It will be included in workstations from companies such as Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo, but in October it will also be available for self-builders.
