Are they going to do something super smart? Apple is testing the external display with the A13 chip

9to5Mac can exclusively reveal that Apple is internally testing a new external monitor powered by the company's own A13 chip (iPhone 11 series, 2019).

New Apple monitor gets machine learning
In addition to the chip uses the external screen, it is equipped with Neural Engine machine learning and is supposedly the model that will replace today's expensive Pro Display XDR sometime in the future.

 

These are two smart things it can do
So what could be the reason why the company wants so much power on the screen?

 

One of 9to5Mac's theories is that this can help your Mac by doing some of the tasks on the screen. Clever, and not an impossible solution to take advantage of all the power beyond serving a good picture and maybe work with AirPlay3.
