Now YouTube Shorts is coming to Norway

It was September last year that YouTube launched Shorts - now the service is finally coming to Norway in beta form.

How to create Shorts
Short video clips have already been visible on the platform, but now users in Norway will for the first time have access to Shorts «Creation Tools».

 

It includes a multi-segment camera to put together multiple videos, the ability to record with music, control speed settings and more, ”the company explains in the press release, adding new features:

 

• Add text to specific parts of the video

• Add mail text automatically

• Record up to 60 seconds with the Shorts camera

• Add clips from your phone's photo gallery to recordings made with the Shorts camera

• Use simple filters to color correct the Shorts video. More effects are coming.

 

Users also get the ability to not only use audio from other Shorts videos, but also from billions of videos on YouTube. This opens up for a creative playground unlike anything else before.

 

You choose whether your clip should be able to "remixes"
Users can create their own creative twist on the content they love watching on YouTube and help make it available to a new audience.

 

It can be anything from reacting to their favorite jokes, trying another YouTuber's recipe for the first time, or recreating comic sketches. The creators will have control over their own content and will be able to opt-out if they do not want their long videos to be remixed.

 

Shorts will be launched for everyone in Norway by Wednesday 14 July.
