Microsoft with handshake to Apple

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella talks about the new operating system, he has also announced app stores and invited iMessage to the Microsoft Store.

Everyone is welcome to Windows
In Microsoft's new app store, they are already collaborating with Amazon's Android App Store. Windows 11 will run Android apps downloaded through it. In the interview, Nadella said that "all apps" have been invited.

While Nadella and Microsoft are optimistic about a future where all developers and apps are welcome to the Windows platform, Apple has taken a different path and is accused of securing a monopoly on the iPhone App Store.

Not the same hospitality in Apple
Epic's lawsuits as well as authorities want to break Apple's App Store control. Even in the US Congress, lawmakers scare that the iPhone will be sold without pre-installed apps in cases where there is competition for the market.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella reinforced Windows' position to welcome more marketplaces into the ecosystem:

Vi skal lage ha en flott markedsplass, men vi ønsker også andre markedsplasser velkommen. Vi har mulighet til det.

When asked about integrating Microsoft software and services with the iPhone, Nadella replied:

We will do everything we can to make it work better. We want everything Apple has to offer in Windows - iTunes, iMessage and whatever - and we want to make sure our software runs well on Apple devices.
