OnePlus becomes part of Oppo

We are a little disappointed with OnePlus Nord CE after a number of good launches.

Is OnePlus just another Android maker now?
But maybe OnePlus is changing course from launching many of the cheap mobiles now that they are under the Oppo brand which in turn is owned by BBK Electronics?

In any case, it is now official that Oppo, the company Pete Lau and Carl Pei started in, will take over OnePlus. Lau has previously been responsible for product development at Oppo, while Carl Pei left the company and started his own.

Things remain unchanged for now
According to Lau, this will enable the company to develop better products, as well as to launch stable software updates more frequently. Not that this has been a problem, but it's nice they put in even more resources.

Lau reassures fans that the company will remain independent and that they will continue customer contact as usual.
