WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will make it easier to transfer chat history between Android and iOS devices. It will be useful for those migrating from iOS to Android and vice versa.
Restore chat history
At the moment, WhatsApp does not offer the ability to recover the chat log when you switch to a device running another operating system, but it is expected that the company will soon launch the Chat History Migration tool. As of now, you can change your phone number without losing your call history and even transfer your chat history. However, this feature only works when you switch within one and the same operating system.
Allows you to receive authentication codes on WhatsApp soon
Facebook has worked to integrate WhatsApp and Instagram into one large ecosystem. Instagram is working on a new feature that allows you to receive authentication codes (2FA) on WhatsApp.
Users will be able to choose whether they want to receive 2FA codes via WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business. This feature was first reported by @ alex193a on Twitter.
