Now you can store music on your Apple Watch, but you have to pay for it

If you are on a trip without an iPhone and suspect that the coverage will be poor, you can now still listen to music if you remember to download to Apple Watch first.

This has taken many years, but finally, you can save Spotify music locally on Apple Watch.

Today we roll out the ability to download your favorite playlists, or podcasts, on Apple Watch. All users can already play songs, albums, playlists and podcasts, and now Premium users can also download everything they download for a true offline and mobile-free experience.

 

Here's how to do it:

1. Find the music or podcast on the watch you want to download.
2. Select playlist, album, or podcast and tap the three dots. Select "Download to Apple Watch."
3. When the content is downloaded, you will see a small green arrow.
