Sony will close the PS3 (2006), PS Vita (2011), and PSP (2004) game stores online. It reports TheGamer.
Sony will close three online stores this summer
Sony will announce the news at the end of this month, announcing that two of the stores will close on July 2 this year, now that you can get a PS5.
Does Sony expect that there will be more PS5 consoles available for sale in the summer months, or is it perhaps the case that the plan has long been to close the stores during this time anyway? It is a bit of a chore to close the shops for older products, and at the same time not be able to offer the latest experience.
By the way, it's over and out for PS Vita on August 27, and not July 2 as for PSP and PS3.
