The new Windows 10 update is almost complete

Microsoft is so confident in its 21H1 update that they let companies test a near-finished version.

21H1 contains bug fixes and few new features
The general launch will take place in May, but those of you who are on Release Preview can download what is, so to speak, the final version of the update.

21H1 is unfortunately not the update that has Auto HDR - if you want to test this you have to download 21H2 from the dev channel. 21H2 is expected later this year.

21H1 is a cumulative update
21H1 is thus a minor update where we find, among other things:

  • Support for multiple cameras for Windows Hello
  • Windows Defender Application Guard is upgraded to more quickly analyze documents so that they open faster
  • Windows Management Instrument Group Policy Service (GPSVC) has been updated and has performance improvements over teleworking
