This is not science fiction, this is technology

Xiaomi has announced a new, completely wireless charging system that is capable of charging multiple 5W devices "within a radius of several meters" while playing or watching the video.

For the first time, we are talking about completely real wireless charging
And not wireless induction charging where the phone must be very close to the charger.

According to Xiaomi, the "Mi Air Charge" technology will also work with smartwatches and training bracelets.

You do not need a docking station or charging plate for the energy transfer, just stay close to the charger. Physical barriers should also not reduce the charging effect.

THE NEXT GOAL IS TO IMPLEMENT SPEAKERS, LAMPS AND SMART HOME TECHNOLOGY IN THE SYSTEM TO CREATE REAL WIRELESS HOMES.

The energy transfer takes place through radiation with extremely short millimeter frequencies. The charging station can charge several units at the same time so that more people in the household can use their gadgets continuously without thinking about plugging them in.

THIS IS NOT SCIENCE FICTION, THIS IS TECHNOLOGY.

But we have to wait a bit before we can furnish the living room without including cable spaghetti and chargers. A representative of Xiaomi tells The Verge that there will be no commercial products this year. He also did not want to give any time frame for the launch of Mi Air Charge Technology.

Xiaomi is not the first company to announce real wireless charging, but working commercial systems for charging through the air have been long overdue.

However, Xiaomi has previously been able to point to several breakthroughs for wireless charging technology. The company also has the advantage of having a comprehensive hardware ecosystem that they can at least in theory utilize. It is no surprise that it is precisely Xiaomi that promises us new and revolutionary charging technology. Xiaomi's presentation video can be seen here:
