Xbox CEO Phil Spencer does not rule out an xCloud HDMI dongle for streaming Xbox games to the TV, without the Xbox.
The Xbox boss more or less confirms this will happen
Spencer confirms this when he said this in a businesslike way:
"I think you're going to see lower-priced hardware that's part of our ecosystem, including power plugs and other things that people might want to plug into their TV to play via xCloud. You can imagine that we include something in the Game Pass subscription that allows you to stream xCloud games to the TV just by shopping for a gamepad ».
It would be a little ingenious to sneak into people's living rooms by offering hundreds of games at a fixed monthly price, and without having to spend more than a couple of hundred bucks on a gamepad.
xCloud is much better now than it has been before, and we actually get fun out of playing Doom Eternal on our mobile or iPad, although of course there is far more lag. Other games that are not so hesitantly fast work perfectly.
