Qualcomm promises 5 minutes of charging to 50 percent, and 100 percent in just 15 minutes with the fifth generation Quick Charge 5.

It's nice that Qualcomm is integrating this into its chipsets so that many more Android mobiles can benefit from even faster charging now that we've seen mobile manufacturers launch their own super-fast chargers:

Fortunately, Quick Charge 5 uses a completely standard 3 A USB C cable and promises these speeds when charging large 4500 mAh batteries. Impressive.

Qualcomm boasts that they have managed to charge 70 percent more efficiently than the previous generation and at the same time 10 degrees cooler.
Snapdragon 865 and 865 Plus devices already support Quick Charge 5.
