Or does Google root it again?

Google has traded AR glasses company North.

Will Google Glass come back with a design people actually want to use?
The company started in 2012 under the name Thalmic Labs.

They first tried technology that recorded muscle impulses and turned this into code. Then they changed focus to Focals, the glasses that came on the market with AR technology and support for strength in the glasses.

We understand why Google traded them, as this looks like regular glasses, unlike Google Glass from 2013:

Shuts down Focals
The company says that there is now no Focal 2.0 version and that they are bringing down Focals 1.0, whatever that means: production is likely to cease soon.

Google says about North that "they have built a solid technological foundation" and that Google is excited to have them join the team to build helpful devices and services.
