Jon Prosser has provided two new images of AirPower.

We've heard rumors in the past that Apple didn't give up completely, but are these photos new?
We've almost never seen the product before, as Apple was careful about the photos after the unveiling - which everyone has brought with them, Apple didn't get the product and had to give up. But did they completely give up? Hardly.

We do not know which version of AirPower this is. Is it the old one dropped by Apple, or is it the new model? Probably this is a newer version, as you can see that the cable is of type USB C. More on this below.

And, if it's the new model, did the photos show up now because they're about to reveal it at WWDC June 22?
USB C, not Lightning
Prosser has previously leaked that AirPower is powered by the A11 chip.

The new thing he announces in connection with today's image leakage is that AirPower gets power via USB C, and not Lightning.

Coming in the fall or early next year
The launch will take place in the fourth quarter of this year, probably September or October, or early next year.

Another interesting tweet from Prosser tonight is that he thinks iOS on iPhone will be called iPhone OS again. It didn't make sense in the past, but now that iPadOS is long gone, it makes more sense even if it feels strange to go back in time.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, formerly 9to5Mac leaker, doubts Prosser's leak:
