iMessage can be far more advanced
The concrete improvement, and we believe there is more to come, explains how the user can edit text that has already been sent.  We believe this will be introduced in iOS 14.

In fact, there are a ton of improvements listed for the service, and we reckon Apple has really gained momentum now as home office services like Teams, Zoom and Slack are taking off more and more.  Apple has nothing to offer now, but that can change quickly.

Enough features for a new app to take on the battle against Teams, Zoom, Skype and Slack?
iMessage can be a big platform in itself as Apple describes how to get third-party apps into iMessage in a more robust way.

Apple lists a number of things they can improve, including:

recognize messages; edit previously sent messages; express what a user is trying to communicate; view private messages; synchronize display of content between users; incorporate handwritten messages »,

 ..and that:

“Users are limited in terms of how quickly they can find content in a message; integrate camera; integrate search and sharing; integrating interactive applications; integrate stickers; make payments; interact with avatars; make suggestions; navigate between interactive applications; managing interactive applications; translate foreign language text; combine messages into a group; and flag messages.
