We already know the vast majority of the OnePlus 8 specifications, but there is more to disclose, including the design.

OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus8 series will be unveiled on April 14. It's just as easy as they reveal the date now, now that the official press photos leaked.

The company confirms 5G and fast panel updates.

This is what OnePlus says in the press release:
After introducing the 90Hz AMOLED display last year, OnePlus this year will take the "fast and seamless" experience to a new level. The mobile company is ready to launch a complete line of 5G devices with even better displays and faster performance than ever.

During the launch, a newly developed screen with a 120Hz refresh rate will be introduced, which will provide an even better flow experience on the OnePlus phone. In addition, there are other new and exciting technologies that will further lift OnePlus' flagship.

- With the OnePlus 8 series, we introduce the most powerful and finest smartphone series ever. We have combined 5G features with specially designed displays and OnePlus' powerful performance layout. The 8 Series will give a new dimension of seamless user experience to all of our customers, says Pete Lau, founder, and CEO of OnePlus, adding:

- No details are too small for us, as we are always driven by delivering the best user experience with our Premium flagship devices, Lau concludes.

We follow the disclosures on Tuesday 14 April 16:00.

HDR10 + and 120Hz
Before we take a look at the design, let's first hear a little more about the panel that sounds extra good this year.

Ishan Agarwal, who is also responsible for the image leakage, reveals that the 6.78 ″ panel with 120Hz update (we hope we can choose from more Hz that this Samsung Galaxy S20 trick allows) has more accurate color rendering than before, as well as MEMC, HDR10 + (1400 nits) and 10bit HDR which is always enabled.

The vibration is also upgraded in the 8 Series with Haptics 2.0. The new mobiles are expected next month.

designed
Now to the look of the mobile which has now also leaked thanks to the same man. We have previously seen leaks of the design, but not all the color variants and not the final models. Until now.

There are three different colors:

  • Interstellar Glow
  • Glacial Green
  • Onyx Black
