Is there something that can't be customized?

Not only does Tesla want to satisfy customers who want to get from A to B in a comfortable way, but the company also focuses on offering more extreme driving characteristics through its Performance editions.

Lets you adjust "everything"
Now Tesla has released an update for Model 3 Performance cars, and the update brings with it quite a hefty functionality. Using Track mode v2, drivers can push the car to its limits by fine-tuning the driving experience.

The Track Mode was originally launched last year, and the functionality should help demonstrate that the electric car can be at least as fun to ride on the track as a traditional fuel-powered car. However, the V2 version of Track Mode has far more features that allow the driver to make countless adjustments to both the drive, brakes and much more.

Change how performance is distributed
When Track Mode is enabled (from the car's infotainment system), the screen will display in-depth information about the car and its performance. Here you can see the temperature status and much more for the drive, tires, battery, and brakes.

It is also possible to change how the car's power is to be distributed in the car. You can go from the 50 - 50 distribution to only rear-wheel drive, front-wheel drive or other combinations. The regenerative braking function can also be customized as desired.

In the release notes for the update, Tesla writes about new Track Mode:
“Track Mode has been enhanced to make it easier to monitor the status of the car, create custom track mode profiles and record track data.

Monitor the status of your car's engines, battery, brakes, tires - this allows you to customize your driving in real-time. G-meter, a real-time accelerometer, can now be displayed in the "Cards" area of the touch screen. The map now shows a lap timer. Follow the on-screen instructions to place a start/finish point on the map. After the completion of each round, the timer shows the duration of each round. It also shows the times associated with previous laps, as well as record laps, in the driving session.

Track Mode Allows you to store up to 20 Track Mode profiles to suit your preferred choices and driving scenarios or customized for a specific track. A new setting profile can be created by pressing Track Mode Settings -> Add New Setting. From there, you can enter names for the profile and adjust settings, including balance, stability, regenerative braking, Post-Drive cooling, and Compressor Overclock.

You can now save a video and data for each Track Mode session to a connected USB device. The device must contain a folder called "TeslaTrackMode" (without quotes). When "Save Dashcam for Laps" is turned on, Track Mode saves a video of each round in a session when Lap Timer is used. Track Mode also stores the car's status and telemetry data, including details of the car's position, speed, acceleration and use of the accelerator, as a.CSV file on the USB device ».
