Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in China, Apple's product production is strongly affected. Many of the factories that produce AirPods, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and iPhone have had to shut down for a long time.

Moving on to Taiwan
Now the company is taking steps to have a better chance of maintaining production levels. According to Taiwan News, citing Digitimes, Apple has started the process of moving parts of production out of China and over to Taiwan.

It is estimated that at least one-third of China's product lines will remain closed throughout the first quarter of the year. Apple, Foxconn and other giants have hoped to be able to start production fully by the end of February, but it is unlikely to be realistic.

However, it should be mentioned that Apple is now opening several of its stores in China. On March 14, five of the stores opened, while on February 19 another 10 will open.

New iPhone in March?
The question now is whether Apple will start production soon enough that the iPhone SE 2 / iPhone 9 will not be delayed. The company's "cheap" iPhone is expected to launch in March, potentially along with several products, including the new iPad, headphones and AirTags.
